Adding the protection code to your site

Method 1 — Direct code

Copy the one-line protection code from the Manage screen.

Paste it into your site's <head> (before the closing </head> tag).

Save. Within a few minutes you'll see the "Detected" status.

Create a new "Custom HTML" tag in GTM.

Paste the protection code and set the trigger to "All Pages".

Publish. Once the code loads it verifies in the dashboard.

Use a "header/footer code" plugin (e.g. Insert Headers and Footers).

Paste the protection code into the header area and save.
